The CIS CHEC tour has just wrapped up our 2012 tour of Latin America, with Costa Rica as our final stop. Students in San Jose, Costa Rica made good use of our viewbooks with 3D glasses, as you can see. See you next year, Latin America!

CIS CHEC Tours Guatemala

The CIS CHEC tour group arrived in Guatemala this weekend in preparation for school visits with our friends at the American School of Guatemala and Colegio Maya. We look forward to meeting with all of you today!

After an amazing day of visits with our friends at Colegio Jefferson and Colegio Internacional de Caracas, the CIS CHEC team is packing up and moving on to Guatemala today. See you there!

Global Student Numbers Forecast to Double by 2025

With many institutions seeing a growth in enrollment in some areas, it would appear that by 2025 the numbers are going to be even larger. A current estimate noted in an article in the University World News states that the present numbers are set to double to 262 million students by 2025. The bulk of this growth will be in the developing world, with more than half of these students from India and China alone. What does this mean for Canadian institutions? With growth in developing nations at this level, spaces will be severely limited, and roughly 8 million students will have to travel to other countries in order to study (nearly three times the international students that are arriving on foreign soil today).
