Now that we’re heading into the second week in April, all students should have received their offer letters from Emily Carr University of Art + Design regarding the fall 2013 intake. Please note that if you have received a letter of acceptance, or a conditional letter of acceptance, you will need to submit your non-refundable deposit via insideEC before May 1, 2013 in order to reserve your seat for the upcoming intake. Graduate Student Conference Dalhousie University Call for Papers

The Dalhousie Association of Graduate Students in English (DAGSE) invites submissions for paper presentations for Dissent: An Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference. The group welcomes proposals from students at all levels and in all areas of graduate study.
This three-day conference will be held August 16-18, 2013 at Dalhousie University, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and will investigate the ways in which literature, history, art, and culture shape and are shaped by discourses and experiences of dissent.
Donation Supports Audain School of Visual Arts

With the recent announcement of funding for a new Emily Carr campus at Great Northern Way, comes another spectacular bit of news with the generous donation of $5 million dollars by Developer and Philanthropist Michael Audain and his family, in order to help support the new campus development.
Emily Carr University of Art + Design has also announced that it will be establishing the new Audain School of Visual Arts at the new campus.

The Leeway: Vancouver Studio Space for Rent

If you’re in the market for studio space in Vancouver, BC, take some time to check out The Leeway, a shared space for artists and designers at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Membership fees are $200 per month or $475 for a 3-month term. Discounted membership is also available for seniors, degree and Continuing Studies certificate alumni, and Emily Carr staff at a rate of $150 per month or $350 for a 3-month term.
