No Classes on Victoria Day

A note to all that there are no classes today at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, due to Victoria Day (in French: Fête de la Reine). This federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday before May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria‘s birthday. To some, this informally marks the beginning of the summer season in Canada. Here’s to the long weekend!
