Foundation Show 2013

For those wishing to check out a range of work by current students who are completing their first year of studies at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, please join in to participate in the Foundation Show 2013.

The exhibition will take place in the Concourse Gallery, along with select classrooms at 1399 Johnston Street in Vancouver, BC. The opening reception is on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 7 – 10pm, and if you aren’t able to make it for the opening night, the show will be up and running from April 20 – 27, 2013.

Whistler, BC: A Taste of What’s to Come

Sean Petit, Mike Douglas and Leanne Pelosi headed up to the Blackcomb glacier on Blackcomb Mountain on November 8, 2012 to test out the snow. The combination of alpine snowfalls, snowmaking and cold temperatures made for great snow conditions and turns. Whistler Blackcomb Mountains are now officially open for the season, and are a scenic two-hour drive from Vancouver, BC on the Sea to Sky Highway. There are a host of other options for winter sports in the Vancouver area, including Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Mount Seymour, Mount Washington, and Sun Peaks Resort.

This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase creations from Emily Carr’s up-and-coming artists and designers. Get a jump on your holiday shopping, or take home a little something for yourself! Emily Carr’s 39th Annual Student Art Sale returns will run from November 23 – 25, 2012 in the Concourse Gallery  in the North Building on the Emily Carr University of Art + Design campus at 1399 Johnston Street in Vancouver, BC. The hours will run as follows:

Friday, November 23 from 12 – 8pm
Saturday, November 24 from 12 – 5pm
Sunday, November 25 from 12 – 5pm

Admission is free.

Volunteers Needed for the Parade of Lost Souls

There are over two hundred positions available for this magical Vancouver-based event, and these positions support a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
