The Celebration of Light is Vancouver’s highlighted summer event that brings 400,000 people to the beaches each night. With this many people out to enjoy the free, family fun event volunteers are key to making sure everyone has an enjoyable night at the Fireworks. The event this year will run from July 28 – August 4, 2012.

Grand Finale by Spain for Celebration of Light 2011

You gotta love the energy of the city during this event (but maybe not the foghorns). The final Canada display will take place on August 6, 2011 over English Bay in Vancouver, BC.
