After a fantastic student recruitment trip to Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia and Peru, in conjunction with OCAD University and NSCAD University, it’s time to pack up my bags and head back to Vancouver. Many thanks to the counselors who worked with us to arrange for visits to each respective school, and also to the students and parents who took the time to meet with us while we were in town.
We look forward to our next visit, and I hope to see you on the Emily Carr University of Art + Design campus in the very near future!

Noted as being like Ted Talks (but with more swearing), the Verses Festival of Words will run April 8 – 13, 2013 at venues around Commercial Drive in East Vancouver, BC.
The mission of the Verses Festival of Words is to celebrate the transformative power of words – written, spoken or sung; to engage diverse groups in cutting-edge, live performances as both audience and participants; to present influential artists from both the oral and literary traditions, and to encourage the next generation of performers and writers. Verses embraces a wide definition of literature and orature that includes page-based poetry, oral storytelling, and singer-songwriters.
