The Celebration of Light is Vancouver’s highlighted summer event that brings 400,000 people to the beaches each night. With this many people out to enjoy the free, family fun event volunteers are key to making sure everyone has an enjoyable night at the Fireworks. The event this year will run from July 28 – August 4, 2012.

Radio Free Emily Wants You
17 JanThe program planning for the student-run Emily Carr University of Art + Design radio station, Radio Free Emily, is now in the works. They’re currently looking for people who are interested in pitching shows, hosting, as well as volunteers to run other aspects of the station. The planning committee will be meeting this week in room 250 on Wednesday, January 19 and Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the North Building on the Emily Carr University campus at 1399 Johnston Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 3R9. Come and show your support, lend a hand, and have some fun in the process!
